Thracian Tomb - Kazanlak in the park "Tyulbeto" is the first Bulgarian monument included in the world's cultural heritage list of UNESCO. Roigos - son of the Thracian king Seuthes III was buried in it. The tomb is unique with its perfectly and realistically crafted frescoes.
In Kazanlak Valley about 1500 Thracian burial mounds have been registered. 150 of them have been excavated and studied, and about 15 are well preserved - with unique architecture and spatial resolution. Most of them are dated about V-IV century B.C. In the valley around the town of Shipka, 5 of them: the Tomb of Seuthes III, Ostrusha, Helvetia, Griffins and Shoushmanets have been restored and suitable for visits.
